The FunWar ™ Nations Cup © is starting on September 20th 2009 at 14:00 CEST.
Please note, this event is sponsored by 'Dragony' with 3 lagfree fast servers. We thank him for his generousity that makes this tournament possible.
We, the admins of funwar.tee-city.net, announce the beginning of the highly anticipated FunWar Nations Cup. In this very special cup, we search only the best of the best to represent their country in a deadly game of CTF.
We have some simple guidelines:
* A team consists of 4-6 players of same nationality. Exact number depends on the success of registrations for this cup.
* Gamemode: CTF;
* Map: CTF2 (or CTF_lava by Ubuntu by high request);
* Scorelimit: 600;
* Best of Three Principle
* Knockout System
* You can only play for one team and one nation only.
* There is only one team per nation.
* The team lineups are managed by the people themselves, there are no rules comming from the FunWar admins. To make your nation the winner, you only should take the best in your team. Anyhow, if there is trouble you can contact one of the admins.
*To make team discussion very easy, use our forum!
* This is all about your real nationality, so if you are not elected into your original nation's team, you are not allowed to join or make a new team with false identity.
The only thing you will get from this are penalty points and disqualification. Nevertheless, if a nation has problems to get their team together, we surely can compromise and allow you to elect players which are atleast afiliated to your country in some way.
* The play-offs are being held throughout the afternoon and the final games should be finished until the evening.
We are looking forward to this event and are curious to find out which country rules the high level gaming scene of teeworlds.

==LOOK AT UPDATE==
We announce the beginning of the Champions League in teeworlds!
Are you ready to fight? You better be sure!
This table will be the ultimate evidence how strong every clan is, and to achieve maximum precision, this table will be played in a so called "round robin" type, which means that every team will play vs. every team with a minimum of 2 encounters.
This might remind you of football right? And that's exactly what it is going to be.
The main focus we have is to make this special league system as easy as possible, offering you flexibility in setting your own dates for clanwars.
This is how it works:
*You will get a deadline for your encounters.
This means, we suggest you a special date until your match with your enemy has to be finished. The 2 confronted clans have to contact each other and fix a date, play their game on a FunWar Server (Contact an Admin via PM for this) and send in a screenshot of the results and a demo (to detect cheating).
* In case you or your enemy misses the date, you will get penalty points, which means you might lose crucial points to your enemy. So be reliable!
*The admins will log the results and fix the tables to provide accurate team rankings. The screenshots and demos are important and provide the necessary evidence, if no admin was online during the game.
*If there are good fights and requests, Admins and the TeeTV - crew will broadcast some events live and commentate!
* Every team that wants to join this League has to provide -5- members. We think that a maximum of 16 teams is sufficient.
Remember: This is the pro league, so you better play good and with real teamplay if you don't want your clan to get ridiculed.
* Maps: ctf2,ctf2, aaand... ctf2! This map has proven to be THE competitive map of teeworlds, and for this league it will be the only played map. (ctf_mars and ctf_lava will be played in a cup soon to come.)
If everything goes like planned, we will know who is the best teeworlds clan and players on this planet at the beginning of August.

The FunWar Opening Cup ended!
We had several surprises, but all matches were played, and the TeeTV has done a very good job as well.
We had some techical problems, and some players complained about the server's ping. We promise that in the future we'll provide better services.
